DEATH AWAITS

You thought you were alone. Death Awaits is a horror-inspired first-person shooter where players must navigate a dark and dangerous environment to escape alive.

Designed for Brackeys Game Jam 2022.2, this game was created from scratch in just seven days. For this project, I designed the launch menu, pause menu, icon, health bar, and ammo UI.

My goal was to create a dark, gritty, and minimalistic roguelike aesthetic. I took inspiration from Cyberpunk 2077, incorporating neon colors to draw attention to key UI elements. The game was made in Unity and the UI was created in Figma.

Can be downloaded and played on itch.io!

BLOODBORNE

Bloodborne is a fast-paced action game created for GMTK Game Jam 2023, developed in just one weekend.

Following the jam theme "Roles Reversed", players play as a cursed sword, slashing through endless waves of enemies.

For the UI, I aimed for a gothic and pixelated aesthetic, complemented by a non-pixelated gothic-style font to maintain readability.

Since the sword feeds on the blood of its enemies, I incorporated red throughout the UI and even made the XP bar into a blood vial — filling up as the sword absorbs blood, eventually unlocking new abilities.

Given more time, I would have redesigned the HP bar to better align with the overall aesthetic, as the simple rectangle feels out of place. By the end of the jam, we had a fully functional game that players enjoyed, though we didn’t have time to implement a level floor.

ROLL N DIE

Created in 48 hours for GMTK Game Jam 2022 with the theme "Roll the Die."

This was my first game jam, and while the final project wasn’t completed in time, it was an invaluable learning experience. Working in a large, globally distributed team came with challenges, but we managed to produce a lot in a short time.

For the UI, I took inspiration from casino aesthetics, incorporating neon colors to reinforce the dice-rolling theme and create a high-energy, arcade-like feel.

With better time management, this could have become something amazing — but even as it is, it was a great starting point for getting into game UI. I must say I'm also quite proud of how nice the menu and options look. :)
